NETTIKKADAN FAMILY
In 1785 Mr. Vareed, from Kuravilangad Pakalomattom family shifted to Meloor near Koratty with his first cousin Mr.Thoma. They have bought the Nettikkadan land (parambu) at Meloor and they are the ancestors of Pakalomattom Nettikkadan Family.
HISTORY
Mr.Vareed and Mr. Thoma bought the land survey number 414 near Choondanikkadavu. In 1789 Tippu Sulthan attacked the Thiruvithamkoor and Kochi. So he got frightened from the force and hided in the forest with his pregnant wife and his elder son Chakkurya. During that time the second child had born and his name was Thoma. They came back home after the war and found that their house was spoiled due to the misuse of the soldiers and thus they shifted to the Nettikkadan Parambu. At present Mr.Kunjithoma Chakkurya is staying there. From then the Pakalomattom branch become Nettikkadan.
FAMILY OF VAREED
Vareed had 2 sons and 1 daughter and they are staying in Nettikkadan Parambu and so they have added Nettikkadan with the house name Pakalomattom (Palamattom).
A. Elder son of Mr.Vareed got married from Malayattor Oorokkaran family and his name is Chakkurya. They had 4 children - Kunjuvareedu, Kunjithoma, Kunjuthuppu and Mariyam. Mariyam got married to Areekkadan Lona.
B. Second son of Mr.Vareed, Mr.Thoma got married to Eliya, daughter of Meloor Padayatti Moothedan Itti Mathew. They had 4 children - Ittimathew, Kunju Vareed, Uthuppu, Chakuriya.
Chakkurya's residence was to the north side of the road and thus the family is known as 'Vadakkeveettukar'. Thoma's house was to the south side of the road and so the family is known as 'Thekkeveettukar'. Daughter of Vareed is married to Pottokkaran family near
present St.George High School, Pariyarathil.
Chakkurya's elder son Kunjuvariyath married Mariyam, daughter of Nalppadan Kuriya and they have six children. (1)Uthuppukunji, daughter, (2)Kunjipailo, Kunjelya, (3)Kunjichaku & Thanda.Elder daughter was married to Nerepparambil family, Anandapuram. Second daughter Kunjeliya married to Kadukutty Vattoli Ittup Kochupailo. The youngest daughter Thanda was married to Chengal Parappilly Kochupailo Ouseph.
Kunjithoma second son of Chakkurya the married daughter of Laroor Thottappilly Enashu. And they had only one son named (4)Chakkurya.Kunjuthuppu, the third son of Chakkurya married Puthenchira Vadakkumbadan Rosy. There house was in Cherapparamban Parambil, and they have eight children Rosa, (5)Chakkurya, Kunjelya, Kunjannam, Thandamma, Mariyam, (6)Kunjuvareed & Fr.Thomas.Elder daughter Rosa married to Kuzhikattussery Kadambattuparmbil Kunjuvariyath Lonachan. The second daughter of Kunjeliya married to Puthenvelikkara Palankan Thomunni. Third daughter Kunjanna married to Kaduppassery Parappilly Varunny. 4th daughter Thandamma married to Arippalam Thakkolkaran family. 5th daughter Mariyam married to Pariyarathil Padinjakkara Devasy Kochuvareed.
Ittimathu grandson of Vareed, the son of Thoma was married to daughter of Meloor Vadakan Iype. They had no children. After the demise of Mr.Ittimathu, Thandamma was married to Ittuppu Vainthala Kanichay family.Kunjuvariyath second son of Thoma married was to Cherchi, daughter of Muringur Karedan Ouseph. They had eight children - Kunjeliyakutty, Mathiri, Mariyam, (7)Thoman, Thanda, (8)Ouseph, Rosamma, Annamma.
Elder daughter Kunjeliya married to Kuthiyathodu Manavalan Mathunni. Second daughter Mathiri married to Vainthala Vilayaveettil Antony. Third daughter Mariyam married to Kudiyituppil Ouseph. 4th daughter Thanda married to Alengattu Vithayathil Ouseph. 5th daughter Rosamma become nun in Karmaleetha Convent and her vestition was on 5.5.1903. And she chose her name as Ursala. She had worked as boarding mistress, mother, and procurator. She died on 27.9.1963 and was buried in Karukutty Convent Chapel. The 6th daughter Annamma was married to Vainthala Ambazhakadu Chakkalamattathu Kanichayi Pranju Thoman on 22.02.1904.
Uthuppu, the 3rd son of Thoma was married to sister of Kuthiyathod Ittikkuru. And they had no children. After the death of his wife he was married from Pariyarathil Padinjakkara family. They had two children, they are Kunjelyakutty and Acharu. After the demise of second wife he was married to Rosamma, daughter of Puthenpalli Vithayathil Ouseph and they have nine children. They are (9)Thoman, Kunjeliya, (10)Ouseph, (11)Ittimathu, Kunjuvareed, (12)Kunjuvareed, (13)Chakkurya, (14)Varkey and Paulose. Elder daughter Kunjeliyakutty died in her childhood. The second daughter Acharu married to Karoor Ambookkan Thottappilly Thoman Ouseph. Third daughter Kunjeliya died on her childhood.
Chakkurya 4th son of Thoma married to Cherchi, daughter of Pariyarathil Pereppadan Ittiyachan. The marriage was on 1868. They have two children - Ouseph & Thoman.
FAMILY OF THOMA
Thoma shifted from Kuravilangadu with Variyath to Meloor married and had 2 children, Ouseph & Variyath.
Ouseph son of Thoma had only one son.Kunjivariyath son of Thoma had two sons they are Thoman and Anthony. Kunjuvareed, grandson of Thoma & son of Ouseph married Pariyarathil Vadakumbadan Mariyam. And they have four children. They are Kunjeliya, (17)Ouseph, (18)Cheriya, Mariyam. After the death of his wife he married Thazhekkattu Kunthankadan Mariyam. They had two children and they are Rosamma and (19)Thoman. Elder daughter Kunjeliya got married to Malayil Kaitharan family. Second daughter Mariyam got married to Muringoor Pulleli family and her husband's name is Lonakunji. Third daughter Rosamma married to Chengaloor Tharakan Kunjuvareed Ouseph. Thoman, the grandson of Thoma and son of Kunjuvareed had only one child and his name is (20)Ouseph. Antony, son of Kunjuvareed had only one child and his name is (21)Kunjuvarkey.
These 21 male members from 4th generation are considered as the 21 families.
